The Truth About Letting Go

I recently had an experience that shed some light on the whole let go/don't let go debate in the manifestation community. Me and my husband took off last Friday to go to the casino for his birthday weekend. It was spur of the moment, so he didn't even tell me he wanted to go until the day before. Since I already had the day off I said fine, let's go.

Normally when we go to a casino or Vegas or whatever, I hella hype myself up for the gambling portion of the trip. I say things like 'I'm the lucky winner of $X' 'I'm going to win the jackpot' and 'Every time I play, I win'. And while this method works to some degree (I see a small amount of wins with it, and don't lose all my money or anything-might break even), it never seems to yield the results I'm really looking for.

Well fast forward to this particular casino trip and my husband turns to me in the car as we drive up to the casino parking lot, and says, "Are you gonna win" and I shrugged briefly and said "Maybe".

This goes against everything I usually practice with the law of assumption and the 'never let go' methodology. But it felt right at the time so I went with it.

When I tell you I won just about $1,100 in that casino in a short amount of time, I am being totally deadass serious. This is from a girl who usually could barely break even on a typical casino trip.

All this is attributed to the fact that I let it go. I was done stressing over whether or not I was gonna win at the casino and just went with the flow. I told myself it didn't matter if I won or lost because I still have a great life so let my time there just be for fun. In doing this, I effectively took winning at the casino off the pedestal and stopped treating it as some elusive prized objective- my life is already the prize--anything more is just extra shit. And at the end of the day, this worked! Check out some of my casino winnings below:
