The Law of Attraction Spectrum

 I recently declared quite dramatically that I am no longer a law of attraction follower but that I now ascribe to the law of assumption.  The law of attraction is  a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person's life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes . Law of attraction gurus like Abraham Hicks put a big emphasis on changing your vibration (state of being, mood or how you feel) to attract the things you want. The idea is that like attracts like and a high vibration state in theory will produce a high vibration life. Law of attraction-ers usually do a lot of meditation and positive aspects, where you notice the positive aspects of your situation. When I practiced LOA, I found it difficult to get in a high vibrational place while dealing with everyday stressors like work or running errands.  The law of assumption was coined by American philosopher Neville Goddard.  I dropped off my son, Isaiah in the parking lot of his school, where there are many cars clamoring to get in and out. I told him 'I love you' and to 'have a good day'. He's in a good mood because I took him to the corner store before we arrived. He waves goodbye. I smile to myself as I exit from the driveway immediately, because as usual there is no traffic when I pull out.  I can't wait to get to work and get started on my files, and start answering the phones. I love getting to work 1 hour early and getting a head start on letting applicants know they are at the top of the waiting list. I love talking to the girls in accounting and actually everyone in the office. My boss, while she normally only comes to the office a couple days a week, is super understanding.
