visualization neice birth story
Jenny is having her baby soon and we aren't sure she'll make it back to Houston in time to give birth. Her husband is flying in again from work today and we are all anticipating my niece or nephews arrival.
I have been working in my garden all morning. My book has just hit the shelves, okay, the Amazon shopping carts, and I'm anticipating a good launch. I have been promoting for a good while now and have a lot of pre-orders so I am totally confident that I will sell out of my first batch. Today is my day off from work, and property management is still working for me well since I know what the heck I'm doing and I don't need to be on-site.
Who knew with just a little credit TLC and we would qualify for our house??? Cyrus is only starting to believe it even though we have already moved in and unpacked our stuff. With our younger babes at school, I watch the dogs sniff around our mammoth backyard, still getting accustomed to the new environment. I think about how I am normally the early adopter of new ideas when it comes to elevating us. That's okay, I know how to pitch my ideas and change my husband's mind-- He doesn't need that much lubing up to the idea that we are prosperous and deserve nice things. Well... not as much as I used to think.
I am sweating in the heat underneath my cute wide brim straw hat I got at the dollar store. My hair comes down below my shoulders so I have it in two long braids tucked in my shirt. I love it when I start to smell like dirt and sweat but need to cool off so I go underneath our tree adjacent to the raised plant beds and sit down, throwing off my hat in one fell swoop.
I look up to the deck and Nala is sitting in my chair where I normally drink my tea gazing down at me intently. I can hear Jenny snoring from the couch in the living room through the closed patio door. I look up at Nala and she smiles and runs to the French doors like she wants to go inside so I get up. Strange, she is normally the last one to want to go back indoors...
As I'm getting, dusting off the dirt from my bum, Jenny cracks open the door with a look of utter horror on her face.
"Conti"
"Yes...?"
She pauses, her breath heaving, unable to get out the words. And before she says a word, I finally look down around her sopping wet ankles, a trail that goes up between the legs of her pink poodle print capris.
"Ok, it's time to go. No need to panic, I will get my keys"
My niece or nephew is on their way and as I grab my phone, I realize that Daniel texted several times... Shit
